If a residency program decides you would potentially be a good candidate for their institution based on your application, then they will invite you for an interview.
You will then accept the invitations and travel to the residency program where your interview will be conducted.

Getting Your Residency Match
After interviewing with residency programs, the match process begins.
Applicants create a rank list of their preferred residency programs, while residency programs create a rank list of their preferred applicants.
